IPINAGTANGGOL ng ilang netizens ang Popstar Royalty na si Sarah Geronimo, matapos itong binatikos ng isang X user dahil sa “unnecessary” na sagot umano nito sa interbyu niya sa Billboard Women in Music Awards.
Sa video na kumakalat sa X (formerly known as Twitter), tinanong ang singer tungkol sa kanyang nararamdaman at influence sa mga kababaihan.
“How does it feel like championing in highlighting women in music?” tanong ng isang host.
Maayos naman ang naging sagot ni Sarah G at nagpugay din ito sa mga kalalakihan.
“Why would she add that, ‘men are beautiful as well… I salute men’ when it’s an event to honor women. Just plainly unnecessary,” sey naman ng isang X user.
Pero maraming netizens ang pumabor kay Sarah at sinabi nilang walang mali sa naisagot ng singer. Dagdag pa nila, valid naman na sabihin niya ito dahil siya kasal na sa asawang si Matteo Guidicelli.
“Can’t we just let her be. Problem is we see what she lacks here. Can’t we just celebrate what she is there for?” komento ng X user.
“It’s her moment, it’s her award. She can say whatever she wants to say as long as it does no harm to anyone. She deserves that much for all the hard work she’s done to reach where she is. But I guess her statement did hurt your mental health. My bad,” dagdag na komento pa ng isa.
