SAN JOSE CITY – The 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) based here facilitated the voluntary surrender of a former “Squad 4” officer of the New People’s Army’s (NPA) Josefino Corpuz Command on Friday.

Lt. Col. Joseph R. Sta. Cruz, 2nd PMFC head, identified the ex-rebel surrenderee as “Ka Arthur”, 34, of Sitio Calo, Barangay Bunga, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.

“Ka Arthur” formerly operated as Squad S4 under the Josefino Corpuz command way back in 2004-2005, also gave up a homemade 12-gauge shotgun with the magazine and two live bullets at the PMFC headquarters in Bgy. San Juan.

Sta. Cruz said he helped facilitate the ex-rebel’s surrender in line with the “Oplan Balik-Loob” government program and through his command under the Nueva Ecija’s “Provincial Task Force to End the Local Communist Armed Conflict”.
