SENATE President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto on Wednesday confirmed that he and his wife, Rep. Vilma-Santos Recto will support Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso in his presidential bid next year.

“Yes, we will support Mayor Isko and Dr. Willy Ong,” Recto said in his message to Senate Media following the announcement of Damagoso’s candidacy.

Aside from them, Recto said their supporters in Batangas and coordinators nationwide are also supporting Moreno and Ong for President and Vice President, respectively.

“Mayor Isko has the training, skills, experience and leadership to be an outstanding president. He has shown this as mayor of Manila most specially during this pandemic,” Recto added.

“He is young, energetic and implements his programs quickly in Bilis Kilos fashion. He will make a good President. One God, one country. May God bless them both and may God bless the Philippines,” Recto further said.

Meanwhile, Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III who earlier announced his candidacy for Vice Presidential Eletions, welcomed Damagoso’s candidacy.

“The more the merrier. More to choose from,” Sotto said.

During 2019 National and Local Elections, Batangas has registered voters of 1.7 million.
