QCPD cops nab 29 suspects for various offenses

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 29 individuals on Monday in its continuous anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality operations.

Seven wanted persons were arrested at different police stations and units.

Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) policemen arrested Raymond Enovero and Robert Dela Peña for violation of R.A. 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.

Fairview Police Station (PS 5) policemen arrested Ma. Teresa Policarpio for Qualified Theft while Batasan Police Station (PS 6) policemen arrested Joji Datus for violation of R.A. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.

Police from the Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) served Warrant of Arrest to Jake Asis Kimhoko for two counts of violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) arrested Yolanda Pagulayan and Lamberto Pagulayan for Falsification of Public Document.

The respective courts of origin will be notified regarding the arrests of the accused.

Meanwhile, in the campaign against illegal drugs, six individuals were apprehended in a series of buy-bust operations.

About P61,200 worth of suspected shabu, buy-bust money and several drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, operatives of Talipapa Police Station PS 3 and Novaliches Police Station 4 arrested 16 gamblers for playing “Cara y Cruz” and “Tong-its.”

Several illegal gambling paraphernalia and bet money were confiscated from the arrested suspects and they will be charged for violation of P.D. 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
