QC cops nab 22 crime suspects
THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has arrested a total of 22 suspects for various crimes in its daylong intensified anti-criminality operations.
The Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLt. Col. Paterno Domondon Jr., arrested Andrew Toledo at 11:35 a.m. last August 12, 2023 at New Quezon City Jail-Quarantine Facility, Payatas Road, Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) under PLt. Col. May Genio arrested Nico Landicho at 10 p.m. of August 12, 2023 at Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City for theft while the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) under PMaj. Djoanna Santos arrested Jonathan Melendres at 3:30 p.m. of August 12, 2023 at 79 Kaliraya St., Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City for violation of R.A. 9165.
In a campaign against illegal drugs, six individuals were apprehended in a series of buy-busts.
Around P57,900 worth of suspected shabu, buy-bust money and several drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects and they will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165.
The La Loma Police Station (PS 1) under PLt. Col. Romil Avenido arrested Geobert Salameda at 5:30 p.m. of August 12, 2023 along Rivera Avenue, Brgy. Manresa, Quezon City; the Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) under PLt. Col. Richard Mepania arrested Jener Vicente; Zazen De Luna and Jessica Sagayno at 8:50 p.m. of August 12, 2023 in front of a house at 21 Road 7, Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City; and Pasong Putik Police Station (PS 16) under PLt. Col. Reynaldo Vitto arrested James Daniel Hobbs and Joseph Delos Reyes at 10 a.m. of August 12, 2023 along Atrium St., Maligaya Park, Brgy. Pasong Putik, Novaliches, Quezon City.
In campaign against illegal gambling, Fairview Police Station (PS 5) under PL. Col. Elizabeth Jasmin arrested Edwin Epora; Ryan Lazara; Lea Aggabao; Lovely Rose Pacayra; and Marilou Dalimpapas at 2:00 p.m. of August 12, 2023 at Samapli Extn., Creek Side, Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City for playing bingo.
For gambling “Cara y Cruz,” the Galas Police Station (PS 11) under PLt. Col. Jake Barila arrested John Michael Tulang and Ajay Rodriguez at 8:30 p.m. of August 12, 2023 along Quezon Avenue in Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City; Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS 13) under PLt. Col. Leonie Ann Dela Cruz arrested Jacky Concepcion; Randy Gabatas; Nover Alfonso; and Ricky Jem Ambalneg at 4:30 p.m. of August 12, 2023 along Clemencia St., Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City; and Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) under PMaj. Don Don Llapitan arrested Allan Dimalitas and Albert Tiburcio at 12:30 a.m. of August 13, 2023 at 1669 Quezon Avenue, Brgy. West Triangle, Quezon City.
Several illegal gambling paraphernalia and bet money were confiscated from the suspects.
