PITX ready for Holy Week travel

THE Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) gears up in ensuring the security and safety of more than 1.2 million passengers before and after Holy Week.

“The expectation of more than a million passengers stemmed from the observation that passengers will travel earlier to avoid the holy week exodus within the metro, with this, we are prepared in ensuring the commuting public’s welfare through the Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa 2023” said Jason Salvador, Corporate Affairs and Gov’t Relations Head of PITX.

Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa is an initiative together with the various government agencies such as; Department of Transportation (DOTr), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Inter- Agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT), Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Red Cross – Parañaque Chapter.

DOTr Malasakit Help Desk (MHD) will be set up starting April 1 at the main entrance (Entrance 2) of the terminal. Manning the desk are representatives of DOTr, I-ACT, LTO, LTFRB, MMDA.

Red Cross Parañaque Chapter is deploying Emergency Medical Technicians while PNP is also doing 24-hour mobile patrol, with additional K-9 units to further heighten security measures around the area.
