Kalinga sa Maynila
THE Manila city government again brought its services closer to the people by conducting “Kalinga sa Maynila” yesterday morning in Tondo, District 2.
Unlike from the previous Kalinga sa Maynila forum, this time the city government put up a help desk or booth of different departments, being supervised by department heads, that can be approached by residents for their queries, concerns or suggestions.
Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan personally answered queries of residents who attended the event held at the Patricia Paraiso Complex in Barangay 177.
“Bakit po namin ito ginagawa? Kung mapapansin ninyo, ang MMDA ay napakasipag na naglilibot ngayon at panay po ang clearing nila, hindi lang po ang lokal na pamahalaan, at ito po ay paraan para maproteksiyunan po natin ang mga nakatira sa inyong barangay kasi baka mamya bigla na lang hatakin ang mga sasakyan ninyo dahil hindi legal ang pagkaka-park nyo’ sa kalye,” Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said.
She also encouraged members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) to register and get the license of their tricycle, private or public, to avoid being a milking cow of unscrupulous and corrupt traffic enforcers.
