PH receives 3M more Sinovac doses

A shipment of 69 pallets containing 3,530,400 doses of China-made Sinovac vaccine procured by the government arrived yesterday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on a Philippine Airlines flight from Beijing, China.

The over three million doses of Sinovac were met at the airport by NTF and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.,DOH Director Ariel Valencia , Usec. Robert Borje, chief of Presidential Protocol, DOH Usec. Ma. Carolina Taino Vidal, NTF Medical Consultant Dra. Ma. Pa Corrales, and Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian.

Meanwhile, today, some 609,570 doses of US-made Pfizer vaccine is set to arrive at the NAIA Terminal 3 around 9:45 p.m, from COVAX facility on an Air Hong Kong flight.

On Friday, another shipment of 609,570 doses of US-made Pfizer vaccine will arrive on the same flight of Air Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, as per advised by the Media Affairs Office of the premier airport, there will be another shipment of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines within this week.

The Russian-made Sputnik V will be composed of 1,402,500 doses of vaccines and another 402,500 doses. The time and flight details will be announced as soon as they received the confirmation, the airport MAD said.

Last Tuesday morning, some 1,353,800 doses of US-made Moderna vaccine procured by the government arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 from COVAX on a China Airlines flight via Taipei.
