PBBM promotes 14 police generals

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has approved the promotion of 14 star-rank officers in the Philippine National Police (PNP) following a recommendation from the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board and the National Police Commission, the Journal Group learned on Saturday.

The 14 are led by Lieutenant General Jon A. Arnaldo, the Officer-in-Charge of The Office of the PNP Chief Directorial Staff.

Also promoted are PNP Director for Intelligence, Major Gen. Robert Alexander A. Morico and Maj. Gen. Neil B. Alinsangan, the director of the Directorate for Information Communications and Technology Management.

Promoted to Police Brigadier General are: Colonel Christopher N. Abrahano, the Senior Executive Assistant of the PNP Chief; Col. Manuel J. Abrugena, the deputy director of the PNP Special Action Force; Col. Nestor C. Babagay Jr., the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Intelligence;

Col. Jovencio S. Badua Jr., the Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the Police Regional Office 1 in Ilocos-Pangasinan region; Col. Jerico O. Baldeo of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office; Col. Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr., the director of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group;

Col. Aligre L. Martinez, the DRDA of the PRO4-A in Calabarzon; Col. Eleazar P. Matta, the DRDA of the PRO13 in Caraga; Col. Noel R. Sandoval, the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management;

Col. Rogelio P. Simon, the director of the Police Security and Protection Group; and Col. Noel B. Vallo, the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Logistics.

The 14 are set to take their oath of office before PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda on Feb. 12.
