PHILIPPINE Basketball Association (PBA) Meralco Bolts player Raymond Almazan apologized to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) after breaching the EDSA busway protocol last April 15.

This after Almazan was apprehended by the Special Operations Unit (SOU) Team Hotel of Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation for illegally using the EDSA busway lane and attempted to bribe the operative of DOTr-SAICT.

“Alam naman natin ng policy dito sa Metro Manila especially nilalabas naman sa TV na bawal dumaan sa EDSA busway so I admit na talagang mali ako doon na dapat hindi pamarisan talaga. Let’s just follow the rules nalang para walang problema especially kung nag follow ako ng rules hindi sana ako nagkaganito (nag-viral), may penalty pa diba?,” said Almazan.

Meanwhile, Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Jesus Ferdinand Ortega shows appreciation over Almazan’s genuine apology and for acknowledging his fault.
