Pasay holds ‘Kasalang Bayan’ at Astrodome
AS a celebration of “hearts month,” the local government of Pasay City held a mass wedding or “Kasalang Bayan” at the Pasay City Astrodome Saturday morning.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano presided over the marriage of more than 60 partners from different areas of districts 1 and 2 of Pasay City.
The Pasay City government gifted the newlyweds, aside from the free nuptials like flower bouquets, wedding gifts, and food.
The mass wedding was supported by the city councilors and representatives of Pasay who stood as godparents, including Pasay Congressman Tony Calixto, Vice Mayor Ding Del Rosario, Councilors Joey Calixto Isidro, Mark Calixto, and other local officials.
The newlyweds expressed gratitude and were very happy as the local government offered the “kasalang bayan” to cap the February “hearts month.”
