PARANAQUE City Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced that they have started providing at-home COVID-19 vaccination service for their bedridden residents.

Olivarez, who was assisted by city health officer Dr. Olga Virtusio, and health personnel, disclosed that 16 people have been vaccinated in their homes in barangays Sun Valley, BF and San Isidro, this weekend

That mayor said that the Department of Health had permitted them to conduct house-to-house vaccination for COVID-19 but only for those who are not able to visit vaccination centers such as seniors and bedridden patients.

He added that those who want to request for free vaccination at home for bedridden individuals may call their respective barangay health centers or can register toparanaquevip.ph/registration.

“Online registration is needed for residents looking to get inoculated. Those who do not fit the criteria are advised to visit the vaccination center,” Olivarez explained.

Olivarez added they conduct house-to-house vaccination for COVID-19 every weekend to all seniors and bedridden patients who are registered. ‘We call this as ‘home service vaccination,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Virtusio announced on Sunday that the second dose for patients who received their first dose of Sinovac vaccine last March 30 and 31, at San Antonio Elementary School Gym, will held at SM City Sucat, building B, on April 28, at 8 am to 4 pm.

She advised patients to bring their respective vaccine information passbook or vaccine card. “The event is exclusively for patients who received the first dose. No walk in is allowed,’ she added.

The city has started the “Bakunado Protektado Paranaqueno: COVID-19 Vaccination Program” in several supermalls like SM and Ayala Malls Manila Bay for the past three weeks

The SM City BF and Sucat has partnered with the local government to provide a vaccination venue like vacant parking spaces to ensure the health and safety of the public.
