Pamamahala sa Hajj pilgrimage isapribado na lang—Dimaporo
DAHIL sa problemang kinaharap ng mga Pilipinong Muslim sa mga nagdaang taon, nanawagan si Lanao del Norte Rep. Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo na alisin na lamang sa National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) ang pamamahala sa hajj pilgrimage at isapribado na lamang ito.
Sa isang press conference ngayong Martes, sinabi ni Dimaporo na mayroong nakabinbing panukala sa Kamara sina Basilan Rep. Mujiv Hataman at Lanao del Norte Rep. Sittie Aminah Dimaporo para sa pagsasapribado ng hajj operation.
“Every year, may bagong Hajj. Every after hajj, may bagong investigation. So, we had one for the 2022 hajj. We had an investigation for the 2023 hajj. Now we are preparing for the 2024 hajj,” paliwanag ni Dimaporo, chairman ng Committee on Muslim Affairs.
“Kanina before this presscon, I came from the Committee on Public Accounts and we were informed by the NCMF that there really is a danger that hajj 2024 might not occur because of all of these problems that are happening within the NCMF.”
“On the part of the House, the Committee on Muslim Affairs is proposing a possible solution and that is the bills filed by Representative Mujiv Hataman and Lanao del Norte Rep. Sittie Aminah Dimaporo and that is the privatization of the hajj,” dagdag pa ni Dimaporo.
Ang Hajj ay isa sa limang pillar ng Islam na napakahalaga para sa mga Muslim. Ito ay limang araw na ritwal at pilgrimage sa banal na Mecca sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“So, you have to think about it. Kayo are my Christian Catholic brothers, sisters. If you want to go on a religious pilgrimage to let’s say, to Israel, to see where Jesus was crucified, why do you have to go through a government agency?” tanong ni Dimaporo.
“Why does a government agency have to dictate where you will stay and yung hotel mo and transportation mo? Shouldn’t it be freedom of choice?” dagdag pa nito.
Umaasa si Dimaporo na mabibigyan ng prayoridad ang mga panukala kaugnay ng pagsasapribado ng Hajj operation at matapos ito ng Kamara bago ang SONA sa Hulyo.
“Hopefully, it will be prioritized and it will pass into third reading before we adjourn, even better before the SONA. But that is one of the things that we hope to accomplish in the Committee of Muslim Affairs, the privatization of the hajj,” sabi pa ni Dimaporo.
Maraming Pilipinong Muslim ang napaulat na na-stranded sa Metro Manila at Saudi Arabia noong 2022 at 2023 kaugnay ng hajj pilgrimage.
