P344M shabu, 3 more suspects fall in Bataan

POLICE on Tuesday arrested three Chinese nationals who yielded some 80 kilos of shabu worth P544 million in a follow-up operation in Hermosa, Bataan after over P3.5 billion worth of shabu were seized and four other Chinese were killed on Tuesday in Zambales sting.

PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva said that a follow-up operation conducted at around 4 p.m. in Tipo Exit, Barangay Tipo, Hermosa, resulted in the arrest of three suspects identified as Qing Chang Zou alias Ricky CHOU, 37, from San Fernando Street, Binondo, Manila and a Chinese national from Fujian, China who was on board a Black Toyota Land Cruiser.

The other two suspects were riding a Maroon Monterosport and were identified as CAI Cai Bin alias James/Joseph Chua, 49, a Chinese national from Fujian; and Longcai Chang, 45, also a Chinese national from Hokkien. Both are residing in Dasmarinas Street, Binondo, Manila.

Operating teams seized from the suspects at least 80 kilos amounting to P544 million of shabu, a Toyota Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Montero van, and two Cellphones.

Villanueva said that both the operations were under Case Operational Plan “Whisperer” which was supervised by ASec Gregorio R Pimentel, PDEA Deputy Director General for Operations and supported by the PDEA Intelligence and Investigation Service under Director Adrian G Alvarino.

He also commended the support of other participating operatives from the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), AFP Joint Counterintelligence Task Force Noah, NICA, Bureau of Customs and the local Police.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the three foreigners.
