Over P3M shabu seized in Bataan entrapment

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — A package containing some 472 grams of shabu worth at least P3.209 million was confiscated from a woman consignee on Wednesday in an entrapment operation in this town.

Authorities arrested the woman who claimed the package. She was identified as Arlyne Gemzon, a resident of Hermosa, Bataan.

The imported illegal substances arrived in the Port of Clark last November 30 and were intended to be shipped to Hermosa, Bataan that prompted authorities to launch the operation.

“The illegal drugs were concealed in a package declared as clothes from Capetown, South Africa,” the PDEA Clark team leader said.

The anti-drug operation was led by members of the PDEA Central Luzon together with Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, PNP units and NOLCOM U2.

The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165.
