Over 2M doses of AstraZeneca vax arrive

MORE COVID-19 vaccines continue to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport as another shipment of 2,146,840 doses of AstraZeneca jabs was delivered yesterday afternoon in two separate flights.

The first to arrive around 12:30 p.m. was composed of 1,065,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines donated by the Japanese government on an All Nippon Airway flight from Narita, Japan.

In the late afternoon, another shipment of AstraZeneca vaccines procured by the government composed of 1,540,620 doses arrived at the NAIA Terminal 3 around 4:20 p.m. from COVAX facility via Emirates Air flight from Dubai.

Some 2,098,980 doses of Pfizer vaccines donated by the US government are expected to arrive tonight on a cargo plane of Silk West Air flight.

The 2,098,980 vaccines donated by the US government was announced by US Charge d Affaires Heater Variava on Thursday .

All the COVID-19 vaccines that arrived at the NAIA were pre-cleared by the One Stop Shop of the Bureau of Customs-NAIA a day before the actual arrivals.
