AFTER a series of oil price cuts, oil firms announced an increase of fuel prices effective today.

Chevron Philippines and Pilipinas Shell will implement a P0.40 price hike on their gasoline products, diesel by P0.60 and P0.70 for kerosene starting 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m., respectively.

Independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Total Philippines, Unioil Philippines and Seaoil will impose the same price adjustments effective 6 a.m.

Another oil giant Petron Corporation and independent firm Phoenix Petroleum will hike prices of their oil products effective 6 a.m. and small player Clean Fuel at 4:01 p.m.

PTT Communication Officer Jhay Julian said the continued rise in international oil prices caused domestic prices to climb.
