HOUSE Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez will summon the officials of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and ask them to explain why RFIDs of vehicles cannot be read at the toll gates which resulted in a traffic jam last Holy Wednesday.

According to Deputy Majority Leader Rep.

Tulfo added.

The lawmaker also said, “Hindi lang po NLEX kundi pati na rin ang SLEX at Toll Regulatory officials pupulungin na rin ni Speaker para malaman kung anong mga hakbang ang ginagawa nila hinggil sa hindi pag-gana ng mga RFID sa ilang toll gates”.

“Gusto malaman ni Speaker if their RFID reader or RFID laser ba ang defective kaya ganun?”, asked the lawmaker from ACT-CIS Partylist.

“Sa Japan, Singapore, at Europe automatic na tataas agad yung boom barrier pagdaan ng sasakyan sa toll gate,”he said.

Cong.

“Now if they can’t fix it, siguro Congress can start reviewing their franchises upon the instruction of the Speaker, of course…at baka may iba dyan na kayang gawan ng paraan ang problema na yan,” Tulfo concluded.
