MWP for 3 counts of ‘rape’ nabbed in Dumalneg
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – Police arrested Monday morning a construction worker, who was charged with three counts of statutory rape, in San Isidro, Dumalneg town.
According to Col. Julius Suriben, police director, the suspect was tagged as top 1 “most wanted person” (MWP) on the municipal and provincial levels and ranked no. 8 on the regional level.
A police report said the accused was arrested by joint tracker teams of Dumalneg MPS (lead unit) led by P/Capt. Irineo T. Sibucao, Jr., chief of police and Provincial Special Enforcement Team (PSET), INPPO, under the direct supervision of P/Col. Julius C. Suriben, provincial director.
Suriben said the suspect was arrested at his residence at Barangay San Isidro, Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 19, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, for the said rape charges with recommended P600,000 bail.
The suspect is now under the custody of Dumalneg Police Station for documentation and disposition.
