After spending some time inside the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) house back in 2016, former housemates and now fellow Ka-Viva artists Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo are together again as a loveteam in Studio Viva’s maiden project, The Rain in España.

The Rain in España (TRIE) is Studio Viva’s first ever series which is now streaming on Viva One and will soon be airing on TV5 during Sundays, 4 p.m.

It is based on the hit Wattpad series, The University Series by Gwy Saludes, with over 570 million reads on the platform.

It is the first of several seasons that Studio Viva will also produce.

At the helm of the series is Director Theodore Boborol, who has successfully directed romantic comedies both for TV and the big screen.

These include projects such as Be Careful with My Heart (2013), Forevermore (2015), Vince, Kath, & James (2016) and more.

TRIE is Heaven and Marco’s debut project as a loveteam with Viva and many have been quite excited with the reunion project.

Fans of the series shared in the kilig as the two portrayed the lead roles of #LuKal: Luna, played by Heaven, is a perky and persistent Architecture student who is after the attention of the handsome yet mysterious legal management student, Kalix, played by Marco.

Together with their friends, played by an ensemble cast including Bea Binene, Gab Lagman, Aubrey Caraan, Nicole Omillo, Krissha Viaje and introducing Andre Yllana, Frost Sandoval, Gabby Padilla and Francis Magundayao, the group navigates the ups and downs of university life in the past and their relationships with each other in the present day.

With every episode released, TRIE has continuously trended online, much to the delight and thankfulness of the cast.

The project has received good reviews from fans and the reception of the MarVen loveteam as LuKal has also been quite positive.

TRIE will run for a total of 10 episodes with each new and full uncut episode to be released first on Viva One during Mondays and an airing on TV5 during Sundays 4 p.m. will start on May 14.

Fans have a lot to watch out for aside from the series, as the cast will also be doing provincial tours, mall tours and show guestings in the upcoming weeks.

‘CIA with BA’ enters second season

Get ready to be entertained and informed as sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, along with King of Talk Boy Abunda, return for another season of their hit public service program CIA with BA.

Despite its late night time slot at 11:30 every Sunday on GMA 7, the first season of CIA with BA garnered high ratings as it captured the hearts and minds of viewers with its compelling content, which has featured a variety of topics from abuse and debt to relational issues, and provided legal advice to those in need.

The May 7 episode featured a recap of some of the most remarkable complaints solved and issues discussed on the show, as well as updates on the people whose lives have been changed for the better thanks to the program’s help.

The debut outing of Senators Alan and Pia as on-air legal advisers has been warmly welcomed by Filipino audiences since its pilot episode on February 5.

The program carries on the legacy of their late father and original Compañero of the airwaves, Senator Rene Cayetano, who led and co-hosted the popular legal advice program Compañero y Compañera on radio and television from 1997 to 2001.

As they enter their second season, Senators Alan and Pia are determined to continue their father’s legacy and provide Filipinos with legal advice and guidance.

“Gusto ko lang ipaalala sa mga nakikinig sa atin (at sa mga) nanonood, tulad ng sinasabi ng tatay ko — the late Compañero Rene Cayetano — “‘wag magpaapi, alamin ang batas,” Pia reminds viewers.

The second season of CIA with BA promises to be even more exciting with the introduction of a new segment called “Fake, Fact, Boom.”

Based on the popular game “pik, pak, boom!,” this segment will challenge viewers to separate fact from fiction and to spot fake news stories.
