Man nabbed for daughter’s rape
POLICE Regional Office 5 (PRO5) director, Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo on Thursday announced the arrest of a man wanted for incestuous rape in Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
The Bicol police director said the suspect identified only as ‘Bert,’ a resident of Barangay Uson, Libmanan, has been identified as one of region’s 9th most wanted person prior to his arrest on Monday afternoon.
Estomo said the suspect is the subject of a non-bailable warrant of arrest for incestuous rape and two counts of sexual assault issued by Judge Irma Isidora Boncodin-Zamudion of the Libmaman Regional Trial Court Branch 57 on December 12, 2019.
The official said the suspect was accused of raping his own daughter, then a minor, in 2019. He allegedly went into hiding with the help of some of relatives until a tip received by the PRO5 led members of the Regional Special Operations Group to the suspect’s hiding place on R. Nicolas Street in Bgy. Poblacion in Sta. Maria Bulacan.
“This is a fair warning to criminals in Bicol region. We will continue to hunt you down and make sure you suffer for your crime in jail,” said Brig. Estomo following the arrest to the suspect.
