LAND Transportation Office (LTO) chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II vowed to work closely with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in determining who owns the abandoned vehicle containing P1.3 billion shabu found in Pampanga.

“We will immediately act on this.

On Friday, law enforcers found a red Toyota Avanza (ZGS 643) in a parking lot in Mabalacat, Pampanga. Authorities discovered P1.3 billion of suspected shabu inside the vehicle.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, which is a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the country.

Mendoza, meanwhile, vowed to strengthen its partnership with the PNP and other law enforcement agencies in their anti-criminality operations.

“Eradicating crimes in the country is a whole-of-nation approach. We in the LTO remain committed to be part of these anti-criminality measures,” Mendoza said.
