Supreme Actress Lovi Poe has become one of the executive producers of the remake of the 2003 cult film The Room, which features American actor Bob Odenkirk.

Odenkirk, best known for his role as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul, takes on the lead role of Johnny, which was created by writer/director Tommy Wiseau.

The buzz around the remake of The Room is now on social media. Its production comes from “Acting for a Cause,” an organization that has raised funds for various charitable causes.

It is founded and directed by Brando Crawford.

Crawford approached Lovi to take part in some of his company’s projects.

“I saw great synergy with his company, so I helped produce The Room,” says the actress.

Meanwhile, Lovi is also busy with Batang Quiapo, the number one show on Philippine television today. She is amazed with the public’s reaction to the top-rating series.

“Almost everywhere I go, people call me ‘Mokang,’ my character’s name in the series. They would also ask me where Tanggol is, referring to Coco’s (Martin) character,” says Lovi.

Catch FPJ’s Batang Quiapo on all Kapamilya platforms weekdays, 8 p.m.
