LAKAS-CMD President:

WITH my wife Yedda and my family, I offer to all our best wishes as we celebrate the Filipino tradition of marking the birth of our savior Jesus Christ with festivities and in the loving company of friends and relatives.

This year’s celebration may not be as joyous as in the past years given the series of tragedies that struck the nation. We lost family members and loved ones to COVID-19. Precious lives were also stolen from us by the recent typhoon that ravaged the Visayas and Mindanao. The typhoon also left thousands of our countrymen starving and homeless.

Rather than be distraught and hopeless, this dire situation gives us an opportunity to make the celebration of Christmas a more meaningful one. Let us give flesh to the real meaning of our savior’s birth. Love of mankind, and compassion for our fellowmen.

May we all find it in our hearts to lend a helping hand to those in need this Christmas time. Feed a hungry kid. Give whatever you have in store to the needy. Help build a home for the homeless. Or just give a hug to those in pain.

Wishing you all a meaningful Christmas, my friends. And may peace and joy finally reign on our land.
