Las Piñas cops nab 2 HVTs, over P2M shabu seized
AUTHORITIES seized more than P2 million worth of shabu from two women who were both listed as high-value targets (HVTs) in a buy-bust operation Friday evening in Las Piñas City.
Southern Police District (SPD) P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said the two suspects were arrested at around 9:30 p.m. by operatives of the Las Piñas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) along Zapote River Drive, Bgy. Zapote in a drug sting operation.
SDEU operatives seized more or less 300 grams of shabu from the suspects with a standard drug price of P2,040,000.
The suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office on charges of selling and possession of illegal drugs under RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The SPD is continuing its relentless operation against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality. I would like to commend our personnel on the ground for their dedication and service to the public,” Macaraeg said.
