AFTER months of being quiet sa kanyang Instagram account, nag-post na rin sa wakas ang `Queen of All Media’ na si Kris Aquino for her health condition update.

“It’s been a few months….i didn’t want to post until I had definite info as my update. Ist THANK YOU for praying for me, for us.

Thank you Minister Joji & my INC friends for making the trip to anoint me w/ healing oil, sharing the Biblical healing verses that I now include in my daily prayers. Thank you to my friends, the Carmelite sisters in Quezon who included me in their daily prayers. And a special THANK YOU to Archbishop Soc.

It’s step 1 on what will likely be more than 18 months of diagnosis & treatment. I’m signed up in a hospital’s Center for those with Rare & Undiagnosed illnesses. My last set of test results were conflicting; that’s why I chose to have my full diagnosis & treatment with a team of multidisciplinary doctors.

Iba ang process dito. My 1st step was submitting all my medical records from 2018 when my autoimmune was 1st diagnosed in Singapore; I had a teleconsult w/ the assigned doctor-coordinator for me, then we’ll do a video consult in 2 weeks. I’ll be admitted early 2023 to undergo every imaginable test they’ll deem necessary.

After my results, the team shall decide what treatment will be best because the coordinator admitted I’m a “challenge” since I’m allergic to so many types of medicine including all steroids. Pang case study daw ako- 1 person with multiple autoimmunite conditions & over 100 known allergic or adverse reactions to medication.

We already filed our papers with US Immigration to extend our stay. Bawal umalis ng America until the extension is granted. We miss our family & so many of you.

I posted a picture of kuya & bimb- they are my REASONS kung bakit TULOY AND LABAN, BAWAL SUMUKO: tinitiis yung matinding sakit (sagad sa buto) while allergic to all pain relievers; the constant fatigue, awful sense of balance, nonstop dry cough & shortness of breath; yung sobrang pag-iingat (I’m so immunocompromised- since June I’ve NEVER been to a restaurant, NEVER entered a store, supermarket, or a mall).

I pray for the blessing to be healthy enough to still be their mama-the one who would cook, travels for fun, goes to Church, and watches movies w/ them.

All in God’s perfect time…

Happy Thanksgiving.”

Ricky Rivero nagbabalik

Ricky who is from the popular Salvador clan in showbiz is back sa pagiging director sa mga corporate events while he’s waiting na muling mabigyan ng chance na makabalik sa pagdidirek sa telebisyon.

But he stopped for several years at muli siyang bumalik sa showbiz when he was already in his teens sa bakuran ng Viva Films nung buhay pa noon ang kanyang Tita Mina (Aragon), the late common law wife of Viva’s big boss, Vic del Rosario, Jr. at kasunod na rito ang kanyang pagpasok sa youth-oriented program ng yumaong Master Showman na si German `Kuya Germs’ Moreno on GMA, ang “That’s Entertainment”.

Sinanay din siya ng Viva sa production work until he moved to ABS- CBN kung saan siya nagsimula as production location manager, then as assistant director hanggang sa siya’y maging isang full-fledged TV director.

He’s worked with ABS-CBN for 19 long years before moving back to Viva kung saan siya nakapag-direk ng ilang TV programs shown on TV5. Then pandemic came na siyang nagpahinto sa trabaho ng halos lahat ng mga taga- industriya.

“It was a very challenging phase ng buhay ng halos lahat dahil sa
pandemic,” aniya.

In 2015 and 2016 ay nagka-stroke naman siya but was able to recover.

Twenty years later ay nagkausap umano sila sa telepono when he was 22 at nung 33 na siya ay saka sila muling nagkita (twice) when his father visited Manila in 2016.

Mag-isang namumuhay si Ricky in his Quezon City house kasama ang isang kaibigan.

Whenever he remembers his five mothers (his biological mother Tess, his aunts na sina Mina Aragon aunt Alona Alegre, her two grandmothers) ay hindi niya maiwasan ang mapaluha.

“They were my strength and shield nung sila’y nabubuhay pa,” kuwento pa niya. “They loved me unconditionally.”
