WITH the PBA Governors’ Cup title series tied at 2-2, Barangay Ginebra and TNT fight for the pivotal lead in Game 5 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.

The Kings and the Tropang Giga clash anew at 5:45 p.m. with the winner taking the pivotal 3-2 lead and a big psychological advantage in the best-of-seven title series.

The winner will get a virtual twice-to-beat advantage going to the next game.

“We have to get ready for Wednesday,” Ginebra coach Tim Cone told sportswriters after what he called was an embarrassing defeat in Game 4.

“We didn’t defend, we didn’t rebound. It was quite disappointing on many levels. It was embarrassing but like I said, it’s a series,”explained Cone.

His TNT counterpart, Jojo Lastimosa, was visibly happy with the performance of his players.

“We know that if r (Hollis- Jefferson) is there as a screener and we have the proper spacing and we have shooters in the corner, we’re going to get shots. The problem with our last game was ang sama ng spacing namin,” said Lastimosa.

A six-year NBA veteran, Hollis-Jefferson finished with 36 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals in the game watched by a crowd of nearly 17,000.

Lastimosa was also satisfied with Hollis-Jefferson’s defense on Gilas naturalized player Justin Brownlee. who was limited to only 28 points on 11-o-f22 shooting in 38 foul-plagued minutes.

Christian Standhardinger, who earnedBest Player of the Conference earlier in the night, also struggled for the Kings as he managed 10 points.

The Fil-German, however, had nine assists and three rebounds.

In contrast, TNT got good games from Jayson Castro (17 points), Calvin Oftana (16), Mikey Williams (16) and Kib Montalbo (16).

The results:

Game 1 — Ginebra 102, TNT 90.
Game 2 — TNT 95, Ginebra 82.

Game 4 — TNT 116, Ginebra 104
(Series tied at 2-2)
