BACOOR CITY, Cavite – A barangay councilor or “kagawad” is dead after being shot by riding in tandem while he was talking to their secretary outside a barangay hall Friday afternoon, November 25, 2022, in Barangay Sineguelasan.

The victim was a barangay councilor of Bgy. Sinuguelasan, Bacoor City, Cavite.

The two unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle managed to flee after the shooting.

According to Police Sergeant Eugene De Leon, at around 5:50 p.m., while the victim was conversing with the barangay secretary, a motorcycle arrived with two suspects on board, both wearing bull caps and face masks.

Suddenly the suspects shot the kagawad and sped away.

As of this writing, the local police are conducting a dragnet operation against the suspects.
