The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines marks a busy January with the staging of three tournaments in separate venues across the country.

The JGFP Ranking Series 3 is presented by US College Sports Camps and Seascape at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club last Saturday.

Players 12 years old and above, participants get a chance to gain JGS ranking points. Tournament and green fees are waived for the 36-hole event.

The first two stagings of the series were held last month at Eagle Ridge with Patrick Tambalque and Stevie Umali winning the first event on 26-27.

Robert John Bernis and Anya Cedo ruled the second on 29-30.

The tournament will be played for 54 holes, 36 of which on the first day.

Also on Saturday, the FMG D-League will be held at the Intramuros Golf Club in Manila.

Open to members of the JGFP developmental pool, the 18-hole tournament is divided into six age-group divisions for both boys and girls.

On Jan. 28-29, the JGFP will hold the Pueblo de Oro Championships in Cagayan de Oro.

More than 100 junior golfers from the region are expected to converge for the weekend tournament coming on the heels of the highly-successful JGFP Davao Championships.
