Imus City stages 1st Cong. AJ Basketball Cup
IMUS CITY, Cavite – The first Congressman AJ Cup Inter-Cluster Basketball Tournament was launched on Saturday, April 22, at the Imus Sports Complex in Barangay Poblacion here.
The tournament, joined by 97 barangays – was divided into nine clusters that will compete in single-round elimination. The “top four” teams will enter the semis round, and the remaining “top 2” will compete in the Championship Game.
The champion team will get P100,000 cash prize; P40,000 for the 1st runner-up; and P20,000 for the 2nd runner-up.
According to Cavite 3rd District Congressman Adrian Jay “AJ” Advincula, there will be a women’s volleyball tournament after the basketball tourney.
Meanwhile, Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula opened the 1st AJAA (Adrian Jay “AJ” Advincula) Cup Softball Tournament Tuesday, April 25, at the Imus Grandstand and Track Oval in Bgy. Malagasang 1-G.
