GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – The former commander of Quezon province’s Police Mobile Force Company PLt. Col. Norman Rañon on Wednesday assumed office as the new top cop of this city.

Rañon replaced outgoing acting city police chief Maj. Fernand Segundo in a turnover ceremony held at the Audio Visual Room of theGen. Trias City Hall in Bgy. Bagumbayan presided by Cavite Provincial Police Director Col. Marlon Santos and witnessed by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer.

Rañon will lead the 140 uniformed police officers of the locality, with five sub stations in Bacao -Centennial road, Pasong Kawayan, Manggahan, San Francisco and Buena Vista.

Rañon was the former chief of police of Binangonan, Rizal in 2020 and San Pedro City, Laguna in 2017.

Segundo assumed the post last April 2021 after Lt. Col. Marlo Solero was relieved on April 7 as acting chief of police due to grave neglect of duty following the death of a quarantine violator .
