SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – The son of CALABARZON retired PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar who is running for senator this coming May 2022 election was welcomed by the local government under City Mayor Loreto Amante, City Administrator Vicente Amante, and the 80 Barangay Chairmen of San Pablo and Calauan, Laguna during his visits in the city of seven lakes on Thursday held in Palmeras Restaurant.

At the same time the Association of Barangay Chairmen together with the ABC in Calauan, Laguna have signed a pledge of support and commitment before Ret. Gen. Eleazar.

Mayor Loreto Amante said that supporting the candidacy of Gen. Eleazar will be helpful once he can win especially in the Calabarzon area composed of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon where he was born in Tagkawayan, Quezon.

Mayor Amante added that the former PNP chief will surely continue his advocacy program in helping the peace and order in the country.

On his part, Gen. Eleazar said that he focuses his programs on the multipliers of the local government including the Barangay Tanods to raise their honorarium and benefits and health insurance.

Eleazar said that the Calabarzon were among the huge contributors in the economy which strengthen law enforcement. “Kailangan din maputol and insurgency sa lugar,” he said.

For his proposal on PNP recruitment, he emphasized that “palakasan system” will be abolished as part of his advocacy once he entered the Senate.

Meanwhile, City Administrator Vicente Amante said that they assures Eleazar will win in election in San Pablo City and other parts of Laguna. “Titiyakin ko ang magiging panalo mo sa Senado,” said Amante.
