Ecija cops probe death of farmer
PEŇARANDA, Nueva Ecija — Police are investigating the death of a 56-year-old farmer who was found inside his house with a suspected bullet wound in his head, it was reported here on Friday.
Town police head Captain Ricardo Salomon said his men were looking into the death of farmer Noel Padilla, of Bgy. Las Piňas after his body was discovered lying lifeless inside his house in a calamansi farm at 2 p.m. here.
Alfredo Manahan, 53, single, farmer, sought immediate police assistance after seeing his cousin dead during a visit to the victim’s house.
