SAN JOSE CITY – Nueva Ecija top cop Col. Jess B. Mendez has ordered his men to intensify their anti-criminality checkpoint operations amid the recent spate of robbery-hold-up incidents mostly victimizing convenience stores and gasoline refilling stations in certain areas in the province.

2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) Commander Lt. Col. Ranny G. Casilla said Col. Mendez issued this marching order to all police chiefs as he directed the putting up of random checkpoints in strategic areas and increased police visibility through the foot and mobile patrols to prevent the occurrence of crimes, especially in far-flung areas.

Casilla said the provincial director ordered them to give top priority to go “all-out” in arresting and putting the criminals behind bars.

“Walang pinipili ang mga suspects na ito, walang patawad kahit magkano pinapatos, ang order ni PD [provincial director] ay all-out war laban sa kanila,” Lt. Col. Casilla told the Journal Group.

The 2nd PMFC chief said they already provided police hotlines to convenience stores, gas stations, and other business establishments and round-the-clock patrolling operations within their respective areas in cooperation with the local police.

Mendez’s specific directives came following four recent robbery-hold-up incidents perpetrated by motorcycle-riding men involving three 7-Eleven convenience outlets in Cabanatuan City, in the towns of Rizal and Pantabangan, and a Shell gas station in Cabanatuan City.
