Ecija cops bust “drug pusher” with P350K shabu
SCIENCE CITY OF MUŇOZ — The Nueva Ecija police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)in Central Luzon arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized some P350,000 worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust conducted here on late Tuesday afternoon.
Nabbed was Allan Mariano, 45, alias Alwina, of Purok 3, Bgy. Kalikid Norte, Cabanatuan City.
City police chief Lt. Col. Marlon M. Cudal said they teamed up with the provincial drug enforcement unit under Lt. Col. Jonathan Q. Meru and members of the PDEA Region 3 led by Christopher Macairap in conducting the operation against the suspect in Bgy. Bical here at 5:30 p.m.
Cudal said the suspect did not resist arrest when police busted him after selling P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover operative.
Also seized from him were 10 plastic sachets containing shabu having an estimated weight of 52 grams and a Dangerous Drugs Board-value of P350,000.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for filing against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office here.
