Digong meets with Pulong, Rigo in Davao City
Dutertes hold ‘heart-to-heart’ talk on life, politics
FORMER President Rodrigo “Digong” Roa Duterte met recently with his eldest son, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, and his grandson and namesake, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, at his residence in Davao City.
They talked about the elder Duterte’s life after the presidency, Rep. Duterte’s congressional initiatives, and Rigo’s plans for the future.
The former President urged the 24-year-old Rigo to keep his options open before deciding whether to enter government service or be a private citizen.
Rep. Duterte, on his part, urged his son Rigo to involve himself more in serving Dabawenyos. The “Duterte brand” of public service has earned the Dabawenyos utmost trust and confidence for several decades now, Rep. Duterte pointed out.
Rigo has been representing his father in the Davao City 1st Congressional District Office activities here.
On behalf of his father, Rigo recently led the turnover of a gymnasium and the funeral home “Lamayan ng Bayan” in Barangay Talomo and distributed aid to fire victims in Barangay 76-A Bucana in this city.
