“She should resign as DepEd Sec if she keeps on publicly opposing BBM’s Cabinet policy decisions that have nothing to do with DepEd. She cannot eat cake and keep it too,” ani de Lima.

“Akin to her preemptive position, re: ICC, the problem with VP Sara’s statement against the peace talks is this – She is still (a) member of Cabinet. Peace talks is not within the core competence of her portfolio as DepEd Sec,” ayon kay de Lima.

“She can only go on criticizing BBM’s policies if she is no longer (a) member of (the) Cabinet and speaks only as VP,” dagdag pa ng dating senador.

“This is not an effort by President Bongbong Marcos. This is an effort made by the former presidents, including President Duterte, the father of the vice president now. This is the commitment of all presidents since the time of President Cory Aquino,” sabi ni Paduano.

“These four amnesty proclamations are just an implementation of the government commitments, and we as public servants should comply and support that commitment of this government…They are the product of the program of the government which the government and all of us should support and commit to it because that is the commitment and program of this government and the previous governments,” sabi pa ng mambabatas.

“With due respect to all those political leaders, elected public officials opposing these proclamations of the present administration, they should check where they stand. Because as a congressman, as an elected public official, we are bound to comply with our commitment with regard to peace agreements with all those rebel groups,” sabi ni Paduano.

“While I do respect dissenting opinion in this country, I would just like to correct those elected, appointed and career service officials of this government who are opposed to the President’s amnesty proclamations,” dagdag pa nito.

“Both parties have agreed to a principled and peaceful resolution of the armed conflict so that we may finally face these challenges as a unified nation,” sabi ng Pangulo. “Today, I firmly believe that we have taken a bold, meaningful, and optimistic step toward (fulfilling) this aspiration for all Filipinos.”
