Dad burns house; roasted alive together with kid, 5
A FATHER and his daughter were burned alive inside their house on Tuesday in Pulilan, Bulacan.
In a report to Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo the victims were identified as Jeffrey Mijaro, 33, and his five-year-old daughter, both residents of Bgy. Sto Cristo, Pulilan, Bulacan.
Initial investigation showed Pulilan police were informed of a fire that struck on Pulilan-Plaridel Diversion Road in Bgy. Sto. Cristo, Pulilan.
Sharlene Mijaro told police she and her husband Jeffrey, who was under the influence of liquior, had a fight and wanted to get their daughter.
Sharlene said her husband left their house but returned with a container of gasoline and threatened to burn their house if she would not give him their child.
The husband allegedly poured the gasoline all over the house and lit it with a lighter. While the house was burning, the husband took hold of their five-year-old daughter as Sharlene managed to get out of the house.
Members of the Bureau of Fire responded to the incident and declared fire out around 11 p.m. Inside the burnt house, they found the dead bodies of the husband and the daughter.
