Crame cops foil woman’s suicide try
ALERT officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters Support Service late Monday afternoon foiled an attempt by a woman to jump from the rooftop of Camp Crame’s multi-level parking building.
It turned out that past 5 p.m. Monday, patrolling PNP-HSS- base policemen were alerted on the presence of a woman who had already reached the edge of the concrete canopy at the building’s roofdeck.
Officers rushed to the area and asked the woman to keep calm while others waited for the chance to grab her. The base policemen successfully rescued the woman and brought her to the PNP General Hospital for medical evaluation and assessment, said PNP-HSS director, Brigadier General Antonio P. Marallag Jr.
The despondent woman claimed she is the wife of a police officer assigned at Camp Crame.
