BATANGAS City — Twenty-one junior and senior high school students from public and private schools in this city who are participating in this year’s City Scout Officials paid a courtesy call to Mayor Beverley Dimacuha.

Such scouts were assigned to various city government offices from February 6-8 to act as counterparts of city officials and department heads.

The purpose of said work is for the young scouts to have sufficient knowledge about government management, to become good leaders, and to develop values to become responsible citizens of the city.

This is also in preparation for the Regional Youth Forum they will attend on February 17-19 in San Pablo, Laguna.

On the last day of their assumption, the City Scout officials will hold a session where some of the topics they will discuss and resolutions will be passed such as spreading awareness about early pregnancy, communication with government agencies to solve discrimination among youth, promoting camp tournaments in barangays and offline educational apps.

The Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) Batangas City Council manages the City Scout Officials program.
