During 100 days in office

CAVITE CITY — Mayor Denver Chua is scheduled to report today on his accomplishments during his 100 days in office as the city’s chief executive, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Montano Hall before the city councils led by Vice Mayor Raleigh Rusit, Department Heads, city hall employees and supporters.

Chua will present his achievements since assuming office on July 1, 2022 including the turnover of the new PNP Cavite City Police Station on Molina St., Barangay 57, Caridad attended by PNP Chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. on September 13, 2022 and turnover of new fire trucks to Cavite City BFP.

He also led the ground breaking of the Cavite City Public Hospital in Barangay 28 in collaboration with Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr and Cavite 1st District Rep. Ramon ‘Jolo’ Revilla III, groundbreaking of the Cavite City College in Barangay 28, establishment of Cavite Medcare Facility in Barangay 39 and Water line installation in Barangays 48M and 49M through his Chua-ter patubig program in collaboration with Magnilad Water System.

Chua also spearheaded the redevelopment of Corregidor Island by coordinating with Corregidor Foundation, Inc. to strengthen position of the island as a historical tourism site of the locality by signing a Memorandum of Agreement with CFi Chair Cynthia Carreon.

Improvement of Public Market and Waste management collection are among his top priorites to attract market goers and cleanliness of the city’s surroundings.

Among his priorities are to provide free computer units to public high school, scholarship program to students of the locality and the redevelopment of Montano Hall.

He also launched the “Feel Good Experiences” in the city, development of Samonte Park and Muralla, rehabilitation of Heroes Arch, return of the Carnival Park besides the public market, street food at the Parka nd Unlad Park to provide city residents with not only the feel good experiences after more than two years of lockdown and provide economic opportunities to small bussiness in the city.

The mayor’s accomplishments include transfer of vaccination centers to the City Auditorium and district heath centers for accessibility, availability of ambulances for service of all residents, accessibility of anti-rabies vaccination with the move from Lying-in to City Hall, provides free vaccination, check-up, and neuter/spade services to pet dogs and cats.

Upon assuming post, Chua signed his 1st executive order of transparency and to help fund local projects.

He ordered to review procurement for Covid kit prices renegotiated for lower cost and review market and business licenses collections, instead of junking “unserviceable” vehicles, he order to repaired leading to savings.

To lessen the burden of residents, Chua established One-stop-shop for documents from national agencies like Philhealth, BIR and working with the LTO for Drivers’ Registration and Licensing and accessibility of late registration of birth certificates through PhilSys, brought to schools and barangays and registrations from Civil Registrar.

Chua’s administration provides livelihood assistance for OFW and families through OWWA, Tulong Puhunan for beneficiaries of 10 barangays, fire victim/store owners in Palace and Bgy 10A, Job fairs and City Workshops (photography, digital online training)

Cavite City opened the business possibility of bringing more investors by holding meetings with representatives of Puregold, SM and Robinson’s. Community services and public security and job opportunities on $11B Sangley Point International Airport project.

The local chief executive also provides senior citizen benefits such as P100,000 cash gift for centenarians and working of social pension to all SCs regardless of status.

According to Chua, “with the support of the City Council led by Vice Mayor Raleigh Rusit, weare gaining momentum in revitalizing the our City. Sa pagtutulungan, pwede naman pala within 100 days. Sustain efforts to deliver more effectively efficiently public service.
