BALIUAG, Bulacan – LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte leads another productive swing in Bulacan on Sunday after she secured the support of several local mayors.

The local chief executives whom Duterte thanked for the support and warm welcome extended to her include Baliuag Mayor Ferdinand Viceo Estrella, San Miguel Mayor Roderick Tiongson, Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque, San Ildefonso Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan, Bustos Mayor Francis Albert “Iskul” Juan, and Plaridel Mayor Anastasia “Tesie” Vistan.

Also expressing his support for Mayor Duterte during Sunday’s sorties in the province was San Rafael mayoral aspirant, Board Member Cholo Violago.

Duterte thanked the local officials one by one during the Sara para sa Barangay event at Waterwood Basketball Covered Court, Waterwood Park Subdivision, DRT Highway, Barangay Pagala, Baliuag, Bulacan.

Estrella hosted lunch for the Lakas-CMD chairperson before the event here.

Accompanying Duterte was her campaign manager and Lakas-CMD president, House Majority Leader G. Martin Romualdez of Leyte’s 1st District.

Sunday morning also saw the presidential daughter rub elbows with the Dumagats of Bulacan, particularly in Barangay Kalawakan, Doña Remedios Trinidad town.

During an earlier Sara para sa Barangay event, this time at the School of Mount St. Mary Gymnasium in San Miguel, Tiongson shared to his constituents that he feels elated whenever he sees “The Eagle of Mindanao,” Inday Sara.

Tiongson then introduced the lady mayor to the crowd as the next vice president of the Philippines, as if to say that the results of the upcoming May 2022 polls is already a foregone conclusion.

According to Tiongson, all 49 barangays in San Miguel town will back Duterte’s vice presidential bid.

When he asked the crowd if they could produce 100,000 votes for Inday Sara, the people gamely answered “yes”.

In San Miguel event, Duterte was joined by UniTeam senatorial candidate Herbert “Bistek” Bautista, senatorial hopeful Robin Padilla, and former San Juan City Vice Mayor Janella Ejercito Estrada who represented his father, UniTeam senatorial candidate Jinggoy Estrada.

During the Sara para sa Barangay in Baliuag, Padilla and Janella shared the stage with Duterte.

This was Mayor Duterte’s third time going to Bulacan since the launch of the campaign period last February 8.

Following the Bulacan sorties Sunday, Duterte and some members of the UniTeam Senate slate trooped to Barangay Potrero in Malabon City for UniTeam grand rally.

Duterte is the running mate of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The two are consistent frontrunners in surveys for the position of vice president and president, respectively.
