Blue Hawks gun for fifth win

DEFENDING champion Immaculada Concepcion College aim for their fifth win as they face off against Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite in the 30th NCRAA basketball tournament at Bestlink Gymnasium in Quezon City.

Game time is 10 a.m.

The Blue Hawks are coming off a 79-72 win over PATTS College of Aeronautics last Wednesday at the Bestlink gymnasium in Novaliches.

Alfred Flores, who averages 21.3 points per game in six games, is expected to lead the Blue Hawks of coach Ogie Gumatay. He scored 26 points on 11-of-21 shooting and five rebounds against the Seahorses.

Jayvee Ibarra and Totoy Ramirez also helped the ICC’s victory with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

EAC-Cavite is also entering the game fresh off a recent victory against Olivarez College, 77-72.

The duo of CJ Quirap and JR Ilustrisimo is expected to spearhead the Cavite-based team under coach Azlie Guro.

In the 8 a.m. encounter, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas is eyeing their fourth win against Lyceum of the Philippines University-Laguna.

Gio Reyes, who had 30 points in 79-65 victory against St. Dominic College of Asia will lead the coach Tito Reyes-mentored Patriots.

However, LPU-Laguna is eager to bounce back after falling short against the Philippine Merchant Marine School, losing 70-80.

JP Tivar and Joshua Tiangco will lead the Laguna-based team under coach Michael Sydiangco.
