CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija — Police nabbed three men, including a barangay tanod tagged as a former drug surrenderee and a job order employee at the municipal government, following buy-bust operations here on Monday.

Police head Lt. Col. Erwin Ferry said his men nabbed barangay tanod Field Balubar, 38, of Bgy. Pugo and farmer Michael Gupalao, 31, of Bgy. Bibiclat during a drug sting at the tanod’s house at 3 p.m.

Ferry added the drug operation was launched after surveillance activities conducted for three days against the barangay tanod, a former drug surrenderee, turned out positive. Ferry said Gupalao is a newly-identified drug personality of the town.

Meanwhile, Rodel Zamora, 36, a job order-service collector of the municipal environment and natural resources office, a resident of Bgy. Bulala, was arrested in another buy-bust in Bgy. Culala.

Ferry said the suspects are locked up at the police’s detention facility here and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165.
