CARMELA De Vera, daughter of Glory and Nestor De Vera, and Rimsky Reyes, son of Precy and Alex Reyes, will be joined together in simple yet memorable nuptials on June 27, 2021 at the St. Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

With God and Christ as the center of their relationship, the couple has strengthened their faith as well as deepened their love, respect and trust for each other.

“Our love is firmly bound by the verses ‘ Love binds us together in perfect unity’(Colossians 3:14) and ‘For I have found the one my soul loves’ (Song of Solomon 3:4). We believe that we will become one as part of God’s will and perfect timing,” said the couple.

Carmela comes from the De Vera clan from Bario Pugo, Bayambang while Rimsky comes from the Reyes-Cuison clan from San Vicente Bayambang, Pangasinan.

The couple recalls that Rimsky was smitten by Carmela when he first laid eyes on her at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Church Wawa in Bayambang.

“Ricky posted my picture on Facebook and courted me. He chatted with me all the time and we started dating. On in May 1, 2017 Rimsky asked, ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’, together with a promise ring. I was pleasantly shocked. Then I gave my sweet yes,” said Carmela.

The couple admits that their four-year relationship has its share of ups and downs. But their pure and unconditional love for each other, as well as their belief in the Almighty, have enabled them to conquer all obstacles and challenges.

“Relationships last long because two brave people make a choice to keep it, fight for it and work for it,” the couple said.

The couple share a common passion for adventures. They also love to enjoy their favorite food like tokneneng and calamares.
