THE names of couple Dasmariñas City Rep. Elpidio “Pidi” F. Barzaga, Jr. and Dasmariñas City Mayor Jennifer “Jenny” Narvaez Austria-Barzaga resonate an honorable and excellent public service to a great majority of their constituents.

Some of the major highlights of their achievements were the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas, which has been offering collegiate degrees to financially constrained but deserving students; Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas, a public hospital, where their poor constituents benefit from the zero billing policy; free funeral expenses that include burial, cemetery, and cremation services with urn at the public cemetery’s “Panteon de Dasmariñas”; an air-conditioned quarantine facility that can accommodate 176 patients; a molecular laboratory to help fight the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic; timely distribution of relief goods and financial assistance during lockdowns; the provision of 1,500 tablets to help online classes of students; a sports development support to help produce competitive and world-class athletes; among others.

All the infrastructure projects were funded and being maintained by city funds and the City of Dasmariñas doesnt have any loans.

I am a product of state university along with my three brothers. I salute and admire the Barzagas and other local leaders who have been opening doors of opportunities to many deserving students to make them become self-reliant and contribute to nation-building through free college education program.

The people of Dasmariñas City City residents continue heaving sighs of relief and gratitude from the compassionate free hospitalization and burial programs of the Barzagas.

Cong. Pidi, president of the National Unity Party (NUP) and chairman of the House committee on natural resources, has been in public service since 1988 as mayor of then Dasmariñas municipality while Mayor Jenny succeeded him in 2007.

They have a proven track record with exceptional credentials in leading Dasmariñas City to greater heights.

Their abilities, competence, fairness, sound judgment, commitment and focused leadership have resulted in superb performance in essentially meeting the needs of their constituents and providing better opportunities for the people amid the pandemic.

To protect the vulnerable and improve everyone’s quality of life, the Barzagas have been working very hard and diligently to spur peace and economic development in Dasmariñas City.

Their priorities are improved health care system, human services, law enforcement, public safety, jobs and livelihood, food security, public works, among other important basic needs.

Because of their superb performance, the Barzagas are tremendous assets to public service in Dasmariñas City.

They leave no stone unturned in the performance of their duties and always ensure that they are done with excellence and compassion for the people.

Their programs of governance are very essential to the continued economic development and prosperity of their constituents and Dasmariñas City.

No wonder the Barzagas have remained the most powerful, influential, and well-loved leaders not only in Dasmariñas City, but also in the vote-rich Cavite.
