GENERAL TRIAS CITY – Four towns and cities of the province of Cavite were awarded the “2022 Seal of Good Local Governance” (SGLG) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – an incentive, honor and recognition-based program aimed to boost LGUs’ (local government units) drive to constantly progress and sustain their notable performance across various governance areas.

DILG announced on October 27 that there are 350 awardees this year consisting of 18 provinces, 60 cities, and 272 municipalities in the Philippines.

The towns of Carmona, Magallanes, Mendez, and Naic and the City of General Trias, Imus, Bacoor, and Tagaytay were presented as awardees.

This is the sixth consecutive award of the town of Carmona and the City of Bacoor, fortunately, chosen based on outstanding performance in Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Health Compliance, Sustainable Education, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Safety, Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and the Arts, and Youth Development.

“Lahat po ng ito ay para sa mga mamamayan at sa Bayan ng Carmona. Samahan niyo po kami sa patuloy nating pagtahak ng landas tungo sa mas maunlad na Carmona,” Mayor Dahlia Loyola said in his social media post.

Carmona town was also recognized as a top national awardee by the Local Revenue Generation Hall of Fame by the Bureau of Local Government Finance during the awarding ceremony held at Philippine International Center (PICC) in Pasay City recently.

Carmona was awarded as the top-performing LGU in local revenue generation for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) as one of the “Top 3 Municipalities” with the highest locally sourced revenues nationwide.
