68 men wanted for rape, theft hauled to jail

MORE wanted rape and theft suspects in Metro Manila were accounted for by agents of the Southern Police District in their fifth Warrant Day, a report to National Capital Region Police Office director Major General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. yesterday.

During the first four Warrant Day of the unit, the SPD accounted for 14 wanted murder suspects; 19 homicide suspects; 15 for physical injury, 16 for rape; 8 for robbery; 46 for theft; and two for car/motorcycle theft.

The simultaneous service of warrants of arrest in the southern part of Metro Manila ordered by SPD director, Brigadier Gen. Mark D. Pespes likewise resulted in the arrest of two for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013; 61 for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 202; 13 for violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004; and 10 for violation of RA 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

Also, 104 others facing warrants of arrest for other law violations were also apprehended by the SPD during the period.

On its 5th Warrant Day last Friday, another 68 wanted men were arrested by the SPD.

The Makati City Police Station caught one; the Parañaque CPS with two; the Taguig CPS with three; the Las Piñas CPS with four the Pasay CPS with gtwo; and the Muntinlupa CPS with seven.

The SPD District Mobile Force Battalion and Pasat, Taguig, Parañaque and Muntinlupa CPS also caught seven Most Wanted Persons.

Brig. Gen. Pespes said that overall, their Warrant Day last Friday led to the capture of 12 Top Most Wanted Persons, 18 MWPs and 38 Other MWPs.
