51 persons arrested, 1,627 health protocol violators recorded in Cavite

CAMP BGEN PANTALEON GARCIA, Imus City – Cavite Police Provincial Office under Police Colonel Arnold Abad, acting provincial police director, arrested a total of 51 individuals and recorded 1,627 violators of the minimum public health standard (MPHS) protocols in an overnight anti-criminality operation.

In the fight against illegal drugs, 29 drug personalities were arrested out of 13 buy-bust operations conducted by the Cavite police and seized a total of 64 pieces of small plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.

In the campaign against wanted persons, two persons were collared by virtue of warrants of arrest for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and listed as rank No. 4 city level, and for the crime of qualified theft and tagged as rank No. 1 municipal level.

Likewise, four others were arrested for violation of Section 5 RA 9262; violation of Section 5, Art ll of RA 9165; and for the crime of estafa (2 counts) and grave threat.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, five individuals were arrested while caught in the act engaging in the illegal coin game “Cara y Cruz” and illegal billiard game “poker.” Police operatives confiscated three pieces one peso coin used as “pangara,” two pieces billiard cues, one set pool chips, one set deck playing cards and cash amounting to P540 in different denominations as bet money.

In various cases, 11 suspects were arrested for involvement in malicious mischief and trespassing in Bacoor City; road crash incident in Naic; theft in Tagaytay City and Carmona; carnapping of two-wheeled vehicle in Tanza; theft (shoplifting) in Dasmariñas City and qualified theft in Rosario, Cavite.

Cavite police recorded a total of 1,627 MPHS violators wherein 595 of them were not wearing face masks, 859 were not properly wearing their face masks, 142 violated the social distancing, and 31 violated the curfew hours. Cavite police gave warning to 1,622 violators and five paid fines.
