FOUR children on Thursday died in a freak road accident in Porac, Pampanga.

A report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. indicated that the victims were aged 2, 6, 8 and 10.

An investigation showed the kids were riding a “kolong-kolong” driven by their father identified as Edmund Canlapan Escoto on their way to Porac town proper when upon reaching Porac-Angeles Road, they were hit by a forward truck driven by Rodrigo Palma Jr..

The impact brought the “kolong-kolong” (a variant of tricycle) to the opposite lane and was struck by an incoming dump truck driven by Alfie Ignacio.

The four kids died on the spot.

Witnesses rushed the injured father to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and physical injury were filed against Palma Jr..
